Arsenal legend Thierry Henry believes Kai Havertz is lacking confidence after watching his side’s 5-1 thrashing of Manchester City.
The German star had a good chance to score early on after his team pressed high up and won the ball. But he settled for Martin Ødega who fired home the opener. “We talked about lack of confidence, he looked at better options.” Henry said. Asked if Havertz should have taken the shot himself, the Gunners legend replied: “Yes, but when you lack confidence. Odegaard is the better option.”
“However, when you score, you make the right decision. So he made the right decision!”
However, Havertz finally found the net, bringing his tally to 15 goals in 33 games in all competitions this season, the team’s highest so far.
